Title: RBSM 2.0 to Connect Meghalaya MSMEs with Domestic and Global Buyers

Addressing a press conference on Tuesday, Commissioner and Secretary, Commerce and Industries Department, Shri. C.V.D. Diengdoh, IAS, said the programme is being organised under the Raising and Accelerating MSME Performance (RAMP) initiative in partnership with the Federation of Indian Export Organisations (FIEO).
He said Meghalaya has nearly 98,000 registered MSMEs, and the RBSM would provide a platform for direct business-to-business (B2B) interactions between local enterprises and verified buyers from India and abroad.
According to the department, around 22 international buyers from countries including Bangladesh, Canada, the United States, Uganda, Mauritius, Netherlands, Sri Lanka, Bhutan, United Kingdom and Kenya have confirmed participation, along with domestic buyers.
The event will showcase products from key sectors such as food processing, honey and bee products, handloom, black pottery, cane and bamboo handicrafts, wood and stone carving, wellness products and water hyacinth products, among others.
Hon'ble Deputy Chief Minister in-charge of Commerce and Industries Sniawbhalang Dhar will inaugurate the two-day programme on October 8 as the Chief Guest. An exhibition showcasing products from MSMEs will also be organised as part of the event
