Title: Government of Meghalaya and WFP Strengthen Partnership on Food Security and Nutrition

The signing ceremony was held at the WFP Head Office in New Delhi in the presence of the Hon’ble Minister, Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs, Government of Meghalaya, Shri Methodious Dkhar.
The Amendment was signed on behalf of the Government of Meghalaya by Shri Pravin Bakshi, IAS, Commissioner & Secretary, Department of Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs (FCSCA), and by Ms. Elisabeth Faure, Representative and Country Director, WFP India, on behalf of WFP.
The Government delegation included Smti. I. Mawlong, IAS, Director, FCSCA; Smti. B. Syiemlieh, Under Secretary, FCSCA; and Shri S. K. War, OSD, FCSCA. WFP was also represented by Mr. Ankit Sood and Mr. Rodrick John.
The partnership builds on the successful collaboration between the Government of Meghalaya and WFP since 2022 in areas including food security, Public Distribution System reforms, supply chain optimisation, digital innovation, beneficiary services and institutional capacity building
