Title: POCSO Case: Accused Convicted, Sentenced to 10 Years Rigorous Imprisonment

Description:
On 25th September, 2026, the Hon'ble Court of Smti. R. Rymbai, Spl. Judge (POCSO), East Khasi Hills, Shillong vide Judgment/Court Order Dated 25/09/2026 convicted the accused, Shri Batskhembor Diengdoh of Spl. (POCSO) Case No. 55 of 2017 arising out of Rynjah P.S Case No. 28(10)2016 u/s 5(k) POCSO Act. The accused is sentenced to 10 (ten) years rigorous imprisonment with fine of ₹ 30,000/- for an offence u/s 6 of POCSO Act and in default of payment of fine, further rigorous imprisonment for 3 (three) months.
The convict has already undergone a period of 3 (three) months and 2 (two) days of imprisonment. He shall therefore serve the remaining sentence in jail
