Title: New Transport Bus Inaugurated at Meghalaya House, Kolkata to Support Visitors from Meghalaya

Addressing the gathering, Sohtun said the core objective of Meghalaya House in Kolkata was to support the people of the state, officials and particularly students visiting the city for educational excursions, study tours and other programmes.
He said the new bus would provide a seamless, secure and efficient mode of transportation, especially in view of the high cost of regular transport services in Kolkata.
The Minister said Meghalaya House has been catering to the needs of students, teachers, groups, organisations and delegations from the state that require government support while visiting Kolkata and other parts of West Bengal.
He highlighted the importance of educational visits, stating that students and teachers from different parts of Meghalaya visit other states to learn about educational systems and practices. Kolkata, he added, has a rich legacy and a close historical connection with Meghalaya
