Title: Meghalaya AIDS Control Society Releases Updated Data for Intensified IEC Campaign 2026

The Society has requested that the following updated figures be used for future reporting and communication on the campaign:
- 9,244 People Living with HIV (PLHIV) in Meghalaya, as per the HIV Estimation Report 2025.
- 1,026 village-level meetings.
- 3,000 awareness sessions in schools.
- 85 awareness sessions in colleges.
- 30 folk performances and 30 flash mobs.
- 15,000 households covered through door-to-door awareness activities.
- 12 special camps in government hospitals.
- 10 pop-up awareness booths across Meghalaya.
MACS urged the media houses to use the updated and verified figures to ensure the consistent and responsible dissemination of information related to HIV and AIDS
