The Office of the Chief Electoral Officer, Meghalaya, has commenced the Special Intensive Revision (SIR), 2026 in accordance with the programme announced by the Election Commission of India. The main objective of the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) is to ensure that "No eligible Citizen is left out, while no ineligible person is included in the Electoral Roll"
