Title: East Jaintia Hills Police Seek Public Assistance to Identify Unidentified Hit-and-Run Victim Found at Pamchyndat, Rymbai Village

On 27.06.2026, at around 8:30 PM, there was a hit-and-run case at Pamchyndat, Rymbai village. On receipt of the information, a police team from Ladrymbai OP rushed to the place of occurrence for enquiry and verification. On arrival at the spot, the unidentified dead body was lying on the road; the deceased could not be identified as the victim's head had been crushed.
After observing all legal formalities, the dead body was forwarded to Civil Hospital, Khliehriat, and has been kept in the mortuary for identification and claim by the family members or relatives, if any
