The initiative aimed to promote environmental conservation, enhance green cover, and raise public awareness about the importance of protecting natural resources and addressing the challenges posed by climate change.

The programme witnessed active participation from villagers, students, teachers, and officials from the Forest and Agriculture Departments of South West Khasi Hills District. Among the distinguished attendees was Shri I. Lawrynñiang, MCS, Block Development Officer, Mawkyrwat C&RD Block, who graced the occasion as the Chief Guest.

Lakiang, Divisional Soil & Water Conservation Officer, South West Khasi Hills District delivered a PowerPoint presentation on the theme “Spring Conservation and Rejuvenation Works,” emphasizing the importance of protecting and restoring water sources to ensure sustainable environmental management and Shri.
