Title: International Nurses Day celebrated at Ranikor Community Health Centre

On this special occasion, Dr. F.R. Lartang, District Medical and Health Officer (DM&HO), South West Khasi Hills District attended the programme as the chief guest. In his address, he highly appreciated the dedication, commitment, and tireless service rendered by nurses in safeguarding the health and well-being of the people.
The celebration programme was made lively and successful through the active participation of the nurses in songs, various games, and other entertainment activities. As a mark of respect to the pioneer of the nursing profession, Florence Nightingale, a candle-lighting ceremony was also held. This was followed by cake-cutting by the nurses as a symbol of joy, unity, and togetherness.
The programme was conducted by Smt. Wendy and Smt. Idanskhem. Smt. S. Marwein read from the Holy Bible, Smt. B. Kharlyngdoh delivered the welcome address, while Smt. Shimdorin Syiemlieh spoke on the theme of the day and highlighted the important role of nurses in society
