Title: Free Distribution of Assistive Devices Held in North Garo Hills

Minister for Tourism, Fisheries, Agriculture & Farmers’ Welfare, Shri Timothy D. Shira, distributed the devices to 584 beneficiaries from across the district.
Items distributed included motorised tricycles, wheelchairs, hearing aids, crutches, walkers and other assistive appliances.
The Minister lauded IOCL, the District Administration and DSWO for the initiative and appreciated the efforts made in identifying eligible beneficiaries through assessment camps held in all four blocks.
Deputy Commissioner Dr. Abhishek Saini reiterated the administration’s commitment towards the welfare of vulnerable sections, while IOCL officials stated that the initiative reflects the corporation’s social responsibility towards inclusive development
