Title: 250 Eri Silk Farmers Benefit from E-RISE Scheme in Ri Bhoi

Description:
As part of the programme, a total of 250 beneficiaries from 20 villages were provided with spinning machines to facilitate improved silk processing and value addition.
The initiative is expected to further augment cocoon production and improve the quality of silk, while simultaneously creating sustainable livelihood opportunities for the farming community by enabling higher daily output.
The distribution programme was attended by Nongpoh MLA Shri Mayralborn Syiem, District Sericulture Officer RB Lyngwa, Sericulture Inspector Lur Mangkara Rympei, among others
