Title: 31st District Level Inter School Athletic Meet 2026 Kicks Off in Nongstoiñ, West Khasi Hills District

The 31st District Level Inter School Athletic Meet 2026 commenced at Nongpathar Playground, Pyndengrei, Nongstoiñ, marking the beginning of a vibrant three-day sporting event scheduled from April 22 to April 24, 2026.
Organized annually by the Office of the District Sports Officer, West Khasi Hills District, the meet aims to promote athletic excellence, discipline, and sportsmanship among school students. This year, a total of 945 participants from 26 schools are taking part in a wide range of track and field events.
The opening ceremony was graced by Smti C. Kharbhih, District School Education Officer, West Khasi Hills, as the Chief Guest, and Dr. R. M. Lyngdoh, Principal of Synod College, Nongstoiñ, as the Guest of Honour. Other dignitaries present on the occasion included Smti D. Pakyntein, District Social Welfare Officer, West Khasi Hills District; Smti W. A. Sohkhlet, Principal of Anderson Higher Secondary School; along with teachers from all participating schools
