Title: Shillong–Dawki Road Near Mawlieh Temporarily Closed Due to Continuous Rockslides; Public Advised to Use Alternative Routes

It is hereby informed to the general public and all concerned that the affected stretch of the Shillong–Dawki road near Mawlieh shall remain closed for all vehicular movement tonight, the 20th of April and tomorrow, 21st of April 2026, and until further notice due to the continuous occurrence of rockslides. Despite round-the-clock clearance works by the concerned company, fresh rockslides continue to occur, posing serious risks to commuters and workers alike.
All commuters are further advised to avoid travel through the affected stretch and to follow alternative routes wherever possible until further updates are issued
