Title: 12 Villages in Jirang Block Declared TB-Free, Receive Certificates

Description:
The certificates were distributed during a formal programme organized by the District Tuberculosis Control Society (DTCS), Ri Bhoi, held at the office of the Block Development Officer (BDO), Jirang C&RD Block. The event was attended by Shri Sosthenes Sohtun, Hon'ble Minister and MLA of Jirang, along with Dr. P. Hajong, BDO of Jirang C&RD Block, Dr. E. Kalwing, District Tuberculosis Officer, Dr. K. Lyngdoh, In-charge of Patharkhmah CHC, local village leaders, and other officials.
The initiative forms part of the nationwide TB Mukt Bharat Abhiyan, a flagship campaign of the Government of India aimed at eliminating TB across the country.
Apart from distributing certificates to the TB-free villages, the programme also included the distribution of nutritional support to individuals currently undergoing treatment for TB, as part of efforts to improve recovery and overall health outcomes
