Hon’ble Mr. Justice Soumen Sen was formally sworn in as the Chief Justice of the Meghalaya High Court during a ceremony held today at the Dorbar Hall of Raj Bhavan Shillong. Hon’ble Governor of Meghalaya, C. H. Vijayashankar administered the oath of office to Justice Sen, who succeeded Chief Justice, I. P. Mukerji following his retirement on September 5, 2025. The swearing-in ceremony was attended by Hon'ble Chief Minister, Conrad K. Sangma, Leader of Opposition Dr. Mukul Sangma, Deputy Chief Minister, Prestone Tynsong, Chief Secretary Dr. Shakil P. Ahammed, IAS and several other dignitaries
