Title: 9 new Polling Stations rationalised, approved in North Garo Hills

The meeting chaired by Additional Deputy Commissioner (Election), Smti. Tengchi Margarette G. Momin, MCS informed that the Election Commission of India under section 25 of the Representation of the People Act, 1951 has approved the creation of 9 new Polling Stations under three Assembly Constituencies of North Garo Hills district. The approval came after consideration and fulfilling the factors mandated by the ECI. With the re-organisation of the Polling Stations in the district, the total of polling booths has gone up from 176 to 185.
New polling stations created under 37-Kharkutta (ST) Assembly Constituency were PS 59 - Tingbagittim, PS 60 - Manchang and PS 61 - Chiwaki. Under 38-Mendipathar (ST) AC, PS 37 - Dilma Soksan, PS 38 - Balmikram and PS 39 - Damringgre were added to the constituency. New Polling booths created under 39-Resubelpara (ST) AC were PS 39 - Haluapara, PS 40 - New Babukona and PS 41 - Bangalmura
