As part of the ongoing Viksit Krishi Sankalp Abhiyan (VKSA)—a comprehensive national campaign dedicated to transforming India's agricultural landscape— Dr. Trudy T.A. Sangma elaborated on the overarching objectives of VKSA, aligning them with the Government’s vision of doubling farmers’ income, strengthening rural economies, and promoting inclusive growth in the agricultural sector. Her address covered critical components such as digital agriculture, improved credit and insurance access, and market linkage support under the campaign. Dr. Yanglem Sofia Devi delivered an impactful lecture highlighting key central government schemes aimed at empowering farmers. She emphasized the importance of adopting high-yielding crop varieties, climate-resilient agricultural techniques, and integrated farming systems to enhance both productivity and income security for small and marginal farmers. Meanwhile, Dr. Herojit Singh and Dr. S. Nirupama Chanu, Subject Matter Specialist in Plant Protection and Agricultural Engineering, sensitized participants on the importance of sustainable agricultural practices. She advocated for the adoption of resource conservation technologies, renewable energy applications in farming, and community-led rural development models, all echoing the campaign’s vision of a self-reliant, environmentally conscious, and progressive rural India
