The Government of Meghalaya has notified that the nomenclature of Wild Black Pepper will now be ‘Long Pepper’ for all intents and purposes and that Tezpatta (Bay Leaf; Laurus nobilis) and Long Pepper (Piper longum) will henceforth be the mandated crops of the Agriculture Department
