Title: Chief Minister reviews health infrastructure: over 110 Sub Centres completed, network to reach 700 by March 2027

Hon'ble Chief Minister, Shri Conrad K. Sangma, today reviewed the Health Department and took stock of the ongoing efforts to strengthen healthcare infrastructure across Meghalaya. The review covered the progress of Sub Centres, Primary and Community Health Centres, and hospital projects under implementation in all districts of the State.

Over the past two years, more than 110 Sub Centres have been completed. Another 200 Sub Centres are scheduled for completion by March 2027, which will take the total number of Sub Centres in the State to 700, bringing primary healthcare closer to communities, particularly in rural and hard to reach areas.

Upgradation and new construction works at several health facilities, including Bajengdoba, Byrnihat, Mahendraganj, Raksamgre and Mylliem Umthlong, are nearing completion. The Government aims to activate all these completed facilities by January 2027. The 100 bedded hospital at Resubelpara will also be activated at the earliest
