Title: Fire Service Day Observed in West Jaintia Hills District

Homage was paid to the brave fighters who lost their lives in the line of duty. The officers and Fire Service personnel of Jowai Fire Service & Emergency Service Station led by Inspector Gauri Shankar Singh observed minutes of silences as mark of respect and remembrance, honouring the sacrifices made by the fire Service personnel across the country.
As part of the programme awareness activities were carried out to educate the public on fire protection and safety practices. Pamphlets containing the important fire guidelines were distributed to the public.
The observance at Amlarem Fire Service Station was led by Station Officer Tipmon War in the presence of Sub -Officer Robert Rymbui and Fire Service personnel. A moment of silence was also observed to pay homage to fallen firefighters
