Description:
In compliance with the Order of the Hon'ble Supreme Court of India in Suo Moto Writ Petition (Civil) No. 9 of 2025 regarding National Highway Safety, wherein, the Hon'ble Supreme Court has prohibited the construction and operation of any new dhaba, eatery or commercial structure within the Right of Way (ROW) of the National Highway;
All commercial establishments (eatery, dhaba) operating in the ROW of the National Highway from 3rd Mile to 7th Mile, Upper Shillong are hereby directed to dismantle and remove the illegal structures in the ROW within a period of 15 (fifteen) days of publication of this Order, failing which, the NHIDCL and the PWD will carry out dismantling of the illegal structures
