Description:
The Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of Electoral Rolls is presently at the Notice and Hearing stage in Meghalaya. The District Election Administration, East Jaintia Hills, has been undertaking verification of cases requiring further examination and supporting documents.
As on 17th September, 2026, a total of 28,673 notices have been generated in the district, of which 28,546 (99.56%) have been delivered to the concerned electors. 127 notices remain pending for delivery and are being followed up at the field level.
Of the cases taken up for hearing, 22,017 cases have had hearings completed with documents uploaded, while 6,650 cases remain pending primarily due to the absence of required document(s), etc
