In view of the Weather Warning from the India Meteorological Department (IMD) indicating Thunderstorm/Lightning with 30–40 kmph Gusty Wind and Heavy Rain on the 16th March, 2026 at isolated places over West Jaintia Hills District, which may thereby affect Schools, Colleges and Educational Institutions. It is therefore felt necessary that all Schools, Colleges and Educational Institutions (both Government and Private) in the District will remain closed on the 16th March, 2026
