Description:
The District Administration, South West Garo Hills, in collaboration with the Tourism Department and the Arts & Culture Department, is all set to host a vibrant two-day Winter Festival - “Mi Kari" - at Students’ Field, Ampati, on February 13 and 14, 2026.
The festival will also provide a strong platform for livelihood promotion and local entrepreneurship. Stalls set up by various government departments and agencies will showcase products crafted by local farmers, artisans, self-help groups, and entrepreneurs.
Mi Kari aims to strengthen cultural pride, promote tourism, and create a joyful space for community bonding. The District Administration invites citizens and visitors alike to be part of this unique winter celebration and experience the colours, sounds, and flavours of South West Garo Hills
