Deputy Commissioner, East Khasi Hills District, Smt R M Kurbah, IAS today inaugurated the locality beautification project at Umpling in the presence of Shri P T Passah, MCS ADC, Shri S Warjri, MCS Additional Deputy Commissioner and locality members. The project is constructed from funds sanctioned under the Locality Beautification Enhancement Project, which aims to rejuvenate and beautify the towns and localities of Meghalaya, enhance and drive tourism experience in urban areas of Meghalaya and to empower community institutions and instil a sense of civic pride
