The office of the Deputy Commissioner (Excise), East Khasi Hills District, in its continued drive against illicit liquor, conducted raids in restaurants/stalls in the town and its outskirts where during the month of June 2025 detected 10 cases with a seizure of 90.180 litres of i/d liquor and 114.690 litres IMFL. In this connection 6 persons have been arrested under the Excise Act
