Shri H. Kharkongor warned the public against sharing, forwarding or uploading the video, stating that the circulation of such content may attract legal action under the relevant laws. Members of the public have been directed to stop circulating the video and delete it from their devices and social media platforms.

He further emphasised the need to protect the identity of the victim, stating that revealing the identity of a victim of sexual offences, directly or indirectly, is punishable under law. The public has also been urged not to spread unverified information or circulate the video further, as doing so may cause further harm to the victim and hamper the ongoing investigation.

Anyone possessing information related to the incident is requested to contact the Police Control Room at 9366498499 or dial 112. The identity of informants will be kept confidential.
