Title: Nongstoin Twin Murder Case: Accused Convicted and Sentenced to Rigorous Imprisonment for Life Without Parole

Description:
A case was registered vide Nongstoin P.S. Case No. 54(08)2021 under Sections 302/34 IPC and the investigation was entrusted to WPSI D.P. Nongbri. Upon investigation, the accused person was identified as Shri Banphrangkupar Nongbri. On completion of investigation and having gathered all evidence, the Investigating Officer submitted a charge sheet against the accused under Section 302 of the IPC.
On the 30.09.2026, the District and Session Judge, West Khasi Hills District, Nongstoin, on appreciation of all the evidences, ruled the case against the accused person Shri. Banphrangkupar Nongbri, convicting and sentenced him to undergo Rigorous Imprisonment (RI) for all his remaining natural life without parole since it was heinous twin murder case and with fine of Rs 1,00,000/- (Rupees One Lakh) for each deceased victim for the offence punishable under section U/S 302 IPC
