Title: Seizure of 9.99 Grams of suspected Heroin - One Person arrested

On 29.09.2026 at about 12:50 PM, toll gate staff on duty intercepted one person, namely Shri David Marwein, S/o Smti Daris Marwein, R/o Wahumlalong, P.O./P.S. Mairang, Eastern West Khasi Hills, Meghalaya, while he was riding a scooty bearing Registration No. ML 05 AH 7002, on suspicion of being in possession of contraband.
The matter was immediately reported to the Superintendent of Police, following which a Gazetted Officer was deputed and independent witnesses were arranged. After completing the required legal formalities under the NDPS Act, a search was conducted, during which one soap box containing suspected heroin weighing 9.77 grams was seized
