Title: Ri Bhoi Launches National Immunisation Day - Pulse Polio Campaign

The campaign was formally inaugurated at the Nongpoh Urban Health & Wellness Centre, Umlingkdait, by the Deputy Commissioner of Ri Bhoi District, Dr. Abhishek Saini, IAS, in the presence of the District Medical and Health Officer, Dr. A.R. Marak, healthcare workers, nurses, and parents who brought their children to receive the life-saving polio vaccine.
In a notable gesture, the Deputy Commissioner also brought his own child to receive the polio vaccine, setting a positive example and encouraging parents across the district to ensure that their children are immunised against the disease.
The Pulse Polio campaign forms part of the Government's continued commitment to ensure that every child below the age of five receives protection against polio and to prevent the re-emergence of the disease
