Addressing the gathering, Rymbui expressed his privilege in being part of the historic occasion and paid tribute to the founders and contributors of the institution. He raised concerns over student dropout rates in rural areas, attributing them largely to financial constraints, and noted that the government has introduced several financial assistance schemes under the leadership of Chief Minister Conrad Sangma to support students. He added that scholarship amounts have been enhanced since 2018 and urged eligible students to avail of the benefits.

Responding to a memorandum submitted by the school managing committee, the minister assured that the issues would be examined with concerned officials to explore possible support, particularly in view of the school’s strength of around 300 students and the need for improved classroom infrastructure.
