The programme was formally inaugurated by the Deputy Commissioner of Ri-Bhoi district, Shri. Abhilash Baranwal, IAS, in the presence of Shri R. Kynta, COO, MSRLS, Shri. Andrew L. Myrthong, MCS, BDO, Umsning C&RD Block, Rocky Kylla, Chairman, Umsning Town Dorbar; office bearers of the Thymmei Baiar Cluster Level Federation Women Multipurpose Cooperative Society Ltd, and other officials.
The primary objective of organising the Nutrition Mela and Health Mela is to provide essential healthcare services to the public, including medical check-ups, treatment facilities, and other health-related support services. The initiative also aims to raise awareness among the community about the importance of maintaining good health and proper nutrition
