Title: Rally Against Child Marriage Held in North Garo Hills

The rally was flagged off by the Deputy Commissioner, North Garo Hills District, Resubelpara, Dr. Abhishek Saini, IAS. Participants included members of Royal Northern Riders, students and teachers from various schools, and officials from DLSA, Police Department, and the Social Welfare Department (Child Protection Unit).
Prior to the rally, the District & Sessions Judge, Shri Balaram Joshi, addressed the gathering and highlighted the legal consequences of child marriage. He also educated the public on the legally prescribed age of marriage and emphasised the collective responsibility of the community in preventing such practices.
The initiative aimed to sensitise the public, encourage community participation, and strengthen efforts towards eliminating child marriage in the district
