Notification on Phase-IV Extension of Nongumiang Reserve Forest w.e.f. the date of publication of this Notification in the Official Gazette of Meghalaya

In exercise of the power conferred under Section 17(1) of the Meghalaya Forest Regulation Act, 1973 (Assam Forest Regulation VII of 1891 as adapted by the Government of Meghalaya), the Governor of Meghalaya is pleased to declare the land described in the schedule and depicted in the map annexed thereto, which has been handed over to the Forest Department by the User Agency viz Meghalaya Tourism Corporation Limited essentially for Compensatory Afforestation in lieu of forest land diverted under the Van (Sanrakshan Evam Samvardhan) Adhiniyam, 1980 with Final approval (Stage-II) of Central Government vide letter FP/ML/OTHERS/419426/2023 dated 24-10-2024, as Phase-IV extension of Nongumiang Reserve Forest with effect from the date of publication of this Notification in the Official Gazette of Meghalaya
