Title: DDMA West Jaintia Hills Conduct District Mock Earthquake Exercise

Description:
The exercise was aimed at assessing the preparedness of various departments and emergency response agencies, strengthening interdepartmental coordination and enhancing the capacity to respond effectively during an earthquake or other disaster situations.
The mock exercise was conducted at St. Paul Secondary School, Mookaswan, Office of the Divisional Soil & Water Conservation officer, Jowai, WK Woodland Hospital, Sabahmuswang, and at Kiang Nangbah Government College Playground,Jowai.
The exercise included evacuation of occupants, search and rescue of trapped victims, administration of first aid, casualty management and transportation of the injured to designated medical facilities.
At WK Woodland Hospital, the exercise focused on the hospital’s emergency response, including causality management, triage, treatment of the injured, evacuation of patients and coordination among medical personnel
